La Jolla, California‑based AlphaCore Wealth Advisory announced on Wednesday that it acquired Blue Rock Financial Group, a Sussex County, Delaware‑based RIA with over $400 million in client assets under management.
The transaction closed on Oct. 1 and Blue Rock’s team now operates as AlphaCore Wealth Advisory, AlphaCore said.
Blue Rock was founded over a decade ago by Todd Roselle and focuses on business owners, AlphaCore said. As part of the transaction, Roselle has joined AlphaCore as Managing Director and Partner.
With offices in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Blue Rock’s nine‑person team joined AlphaCore.
“AlphaCore has completed four deals this year, including Blue Rock,” Dick Pfister, Founder and CEO of AlphaCore, told Wealth Solutions Report by email. “AlphaCore’s approach to growth combines strategic acquisitions with a deliberate focus on building internal capabilities and leadership across key markets,” Pfister said.
In a press release, Pfister said, “Every new partnership creates opportunities to deepen our roots within the communities we serve, and Todd’s team is a great example of that. Blue Rock deepens our presence in the Mid‑Atlantic and brings significant experience serving mass‑affluent and high‑net‑worth clients.”
Pfister added, “Combining that experience with AlphaCore’s resources and capabilities enhances the value we can deliver to clients while continuing to strengthen our next‑generation wealth management platform.”

“For more than ten years I turned down every conversation about merging, because none of those firms felt like Blue Rock,” Roselle said in the press release. “What made AlphaCore different was the alignment of values. The principles that built Blue Rock are almost word‑for‑word the values I found at AlphaCore, right down to ‘do what’s best for the client.’”
Roselle added, “Combined with the infrastructure they’ve built, which is where we were already headed as a firm, it became clear this was the right long‑term partner.”
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton provided legal services to AlphaCore as part of the transaction. Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor served as legal counsel to Blue Rock.
Prior to buying Blue Rock, AlphaCore had approximately $11 billion in assets, it said.
AlphaCore previously acquired SPC Financial, whose team helped launch AlphaCore Tax Services in late 2025, according to the release.
