Amplified Planning announced on Wednesday that it teamed up with Cary Carbonaro, Managing Advisor at Ashton Thomas Private Wealth, to start the Women & Wealth Masterclass, a continuing education online course developed to help financial planners build stronger relationships with female clients.
The new training program was designed for men and women, and was created with Carbonaro, who also serves as Women and Wealth Ambassador at Ashton Thomas.
The eight-module course is based on Carbonaro’s over 25 years of experience advising women. It presents practical strategies including understanding how women experience and make financial decisions and communicating more effectively during major life and wealth transitions.
Amplified Planning pointed to Cerulli’s estimate last year that $124 trillion will transfer through 2048, including $54 trillion first moving between spouses. Over 95% of those spousal transfers are expected to go to women, with almost $40 trillion expected to be controlled by widowed women in baby boomer and older generations.
The firm also noted that Cerulli found relationships matter more in advisor selection among women investors than men.
“Women are poised to control an extraordinary amount of wealth, but this course isn’t really about statistics; it is about whether our profession is prepared to serve those women well,” Hannah Moore, Founder of Amplified Planning, said in a press release. “Technical knowledge alone isn’t enough. Great planners need to know how to listen, communicate, build trust and understand the experiences their clients bring into financial conversations.”
The Women & Wealth Masterclass is Amplified Planning’s first Spotlight Course, a new category of education that it said features industry experts and topics relevant to financial planners.
The Women & Wealth Masterclass is available for purchase now for $397 and its inaugural program will start Sept. 28.
Eight Modules With Tools, Examples And Frameworks

“Students can enroll between now and September 28th to get access to four live calls” with Carbonaro, she told Wealth Solutions Report by email. After Sept. 28, Carbonaro said, it will still be “possible to enroll but they will not have access to the live calls.”
All eight of the course’s modules will be made available at launch, “so students can finish at their own pace,” she told WSR.
Those eight modules are: The Women & Wealth Opportunity; The History of Women & Money; How Women Really Think About Money; Why Women Leave Advisors; The Different Types of Women Clients; Serving Women Holistically; Communication, Connection & Conversion; and Building a Female-Friendly Practice, Carbonaro said.
“The goal is to change how advisors think about serving women by becoming better at understanding the person sitting across the table from them,” Carbonaro said in the press release. “Women want to be heard. They want to understand the ‘why’ behind the advice. They want an advisor who recognizes that money is connected to family, independence, security, identity and the life they are trying to build.”
The masterclass builds on the ideas that Carbonaro explored in her book, “Women and Wealth: A Playbook to Empower Clients and Unlock Their Fortune,” and adds tools, examples and frameworks for advisors.
Amplified Planning also provides The Externship eight-week virtual training program. The firm said it has trained over 8,000 aspiring and new financial planners.
Moore went on to say, “We are extremely selective about the expertise we bring into the Amplified Planning community. I’ve followed Cary's work for years, and what impressed me most is that she isn’t talking about this theoretically. She has built a highly successful career serving women, studying how they experience financial advice and pushing the profession to do better.”
