Kestra Holdings subsidiary Bluespring Wealth Partners said Wednesday it acquired Rodgers & Associates Wealth Advisers, a Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based wealth management firm specializing in retirement planning that oversees more than $1.35 billion in client assets.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The addition of Rodgers & Associates increases the number of Bluespring partner firms to 27, according to the acquirer of independent RIAs and hybrid wealth management firms.

Wednesday’s announcement also follows Bluespring’s recent fifth anniversary celebration.

Earlier this month, Bluespring said it bought Shelton Financial Group, a Fort Wayne, Indiana-based firm overseeing almost $500 million in client assets, and transitioned the company’s investment business to Bluespring’s affiliated wealth management platform, Kestra Financial.

Rodgers & Associates was founded more than 25 years ago by husband-and-wife partners Rick and Jessica Rodgers.

The Rodgers staff includes Sandra Skrodinsky, President and Chief Compliance Officer; Susan Connors, Director of Operations; Patrick Carney, Manager of Adviser Services; and Clint Krushinsky, Business Development Specialist. Rodgers & Associates employs 25 financial professionals and has almost 1,000 household clients.

Rodgers & Associates’ decision to join Bluespring was driven by several factors, including Bluespring’s breadth of marketing, other back-office resources, succession planning educational tools and collaborative partner network, according to the press release.

Post-acquisition, Rodgers & Associates intends to accelerate growth and technology adoption using Bluespring’s existing platforms while providing best-in-class retirement planning services to its clients, the press release said.

“From the beginning, we were drawn to Bluespring’s emphasis on growth at scale while staying true to the core of our business,” according to Rick Rodgers, Founder of Rodgers & Associates.

“Firm-wide, we look forward to building on even more organic growth and success in the coming years, supported by Bluespring’s array of resources so that we can continue excellent service and high-quality experiences for our clients,” he said.

Welcoming Rodgers & Associates to the Bluespring community, Stuart Silverman, Chairman of Bluespring, said: “Rodgers & Associates is a fantastic example of a firm dedicated to excellence in client services and promoting financial independence.”
