Fidelity Investments on Tuesday announced two new suites of turnkey model portfolios and an expanded set of educational resources that the firm said were designed to better support wealth management firms looking to understand and implement alternative investments in their practices.

The new turnkey model portfolios were developed to provide exposure to private markets for RIAs and broker-dealers (BDs) through off-the-shelf solutions. They include Fidelity Model Portfolios with Private Markets, offered in I and Z mutual fund share classes, and Fidelity Model Portfolios with Private Markets – ETF Focused. Both are multi-asset-class, open-architecture model portfolios designed to provide diversified exposure to private equity, private credit and private real estate, the firm said.

The new offerings are available now to eligible RIAs and BDs through Fidelity’s relationship with wealthtech firm Envestnet.

The new portfolios will be made available on additional platforms “in the coming months,” according to Fidelity.

Pointing out that a 2025 Fidelity survey showed 46% of advisors were interested in a model portfolio offering traditional and alternative investments, Fidelity said it is now offering various solutions to meet that need.

“Wealth managers recognize the potential for private markets to differentiate their practice and diversify portfolios, but often struggle with the time needed for research and due diligence,” according to Amanda Robinson, Head of Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions Specialist Distribution at Fidelity Investments.

“These new additions to our suite of turnkey models provides advisors the tools they need to offer private markets exposure at scale,” she said in a news release.

The New Education Program

Fidelity’s also launched its Alternative Navigator (Alts Navigator) learning program for alternative investments. The module-based program includes sessions from its team of portfolio construction and alternative investment strategists, tutorials and guides for advisors and investors, the firm said.

“As interest in alternative investments grows, so does the need for education,” according to Michael Scarsciotti, Head of Investment Specialists at Fidelity Investments.

“This program helps advisors deepen their knowledge of this asset class to meet clients’ evolving needs and add value to their practices,” he said in the news release.

Module 1 of the new Fidelity education program, “Introduction to alternative investments,” and module 2, “The role of alternative investments in client portfolios,” are available now to advisors.

Module 3, “A deeper dive into alternative investing strategies,” will follow early this year, Fidelity said.

Fidelity announced in June 2025 that it launched custom model portfolios with alternative investments, giving RIAs and BDs access to models providing exposure to the private markets via investment vehicles including interval or tender offer funds. The new capability was made available as part of Fidelity’s strategic relationship with Envestnet, Fidelity noted at the time.
