The Financial Services Institute (FSI) announced its 2026 Board and Executive Committee, naming financial advisor Christine Byrne the Chair.

Byrne, a Partner and Wealth Advisor at Back Cove Financial, is the third financial advisor to serve as Chair in FSI’s 22-year history and the first female advisor to hold the role, the advocacy group said.

“It is my honor to serve as the 2026 Chair of FSI’s Board of Directors,” said Byrne. “As a financial advisor, I am grateful for a community that brings our profession together around clear advocacy goals: protecting investor choice, strengthening independent advice and ensuring a practical, workable regulatory environment.”

Others on the leadership slate include: Adam Malamed, CEO of Sanctuary Wealth Group, as Vice Chair (Chair in 2027); Tim Stinson, President of Cetera Advisor Networks, Immediate Past Chair; Von Cook, Managing Partner at Client Centric Advisors, FSI PAC Chair; and Shannon Reid, President and Head of Advisor Growth and Engagement at Osaic, Finance Committee Chair.

FSI also added five new directors, including Brian Kovack, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Kovack Financial; Kathy Leckey, President and Chief Operating Officer, Lincoln Investment; Frank Smith, Chief Executive Officer, Private Advisor Group; Dale Brunk, Senior Financial Advisor, Landmark Financial; and Marc Squires, Head of Sales and Relationship Management, Fidelity Clearing, Fidelity Investments.
