Charlotte’s $2 billion recruit: Fifth Third Wealth Advisors (FTWA) expanded its presence in Charlotte, North Carolina, with the addition of an advisor team that had been managing $2 billion in client assets. The team includes Scott Bailey, Scott Cislo and Murray Kinlaw. Eric Housman, President of FTWA, commented.
Colorado and Minnesota acquisitions: Mercer Global Advisors, a subsidiary of Mercer Advisors, announced the acquisitions of Chapel & Collins in Fort Collins, Colorado, and Waypoint Capital Advisors in Minneapolis. Chapel & Collins’ Founding Partner, Dennis Collins, and Waypoint’s CEO and Managing Partner, Jon Kennedy, provided comments along with Mercer’s Principal, M&A Partner Development, Martine Lellis, and CEO Dave Welling.
Consolidator growth: RIA consolidators have grown significantly over the past decade and now represent $1.5 trillion in AUM, and tech has become a key component of RIA consolidator offerings, according to “The Cerulli Report—U.S. RIA Marketplace 2024.” Stephen Caruso, Associate Director at Cerulli, provided comments.
Tech COO: Communify Fincentric announced the appointment of Nicole Nakashian, formerly of InvestCloud, to the role of COO. Nakashian and CEO and Chairman John Wise commented.
