San Diego-based Independent Financial Group (IFG) announced the formation of its President’s Advisory Council, which is tasked with strengthening the firm’s relationships with affiliated advisors through insights that improve strategy and engagement, as well as advancing shared goals.

“We are excited to launch the IFG President’s Advisory Council at this pivotal point in our firm’s history,” said Kevin Keefe, President and Chief Operating Officer of IFG. “Through open dialogue, collaboration, and advocacy, the Council will help ensure IFG’s initiatives reflect our advisors’ needs, helping them to drive their growth and serve clients with distinction.”

The council will work with IFG’s senior leadership to advance priorities by providing advisors’ insights on firm initiatives and serving as liaisons between the firm’s executives and affiliated advisors.

Bryan Wertzer of Sutley Wertzer will serve as Chairperson of the 13-member council, with Chris Vizzi of South Coast Investment Advisors as Vice-Chair.

“We took great care in selecting the advisors who will represent their peers on the PAC,” said Scott Heising, Founder and CEO of IFG. “This is not a top-producers club where we just picked the advisors with the highest AUM or GDC. We wanted the Council to represent a cross-section of IFG advisors.”

Founded in 2003, IFG is a privately held independent wealth management provider that supports over 600 independent financial professionals in more than 400 offices.
