Next Gen pro bono enthusiasm: Newcomers to financial planning are widely in favor of pro bono financial planning, according to the findings of the Survey of Aspiring CFP Professionals by Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP). Jon Dauphiné, CEO of FFP, and Hannah Moore, President of Guiding Wealth, provided comments.

2025 marketing trends: To learn what’s in store for advisor marketing next year, we asked Kelly Coulter, Head of Marketing at Private Advisor Group, what she expects will be the biggest trends in 2025 when it comes to advisors’ use of communications, creativity and data for marketing.

Alts partnership: Advyzon partnered with iCapital to enhance the alternative investment capabilities available to financial advisors who use Advyzon’s portfolio reporting platform. Steve Houston, Managing Director and Co-Head of iCapital Solutions, and Kartik Srinivasan, President of Advyzon Institutional, commented.

Platform integration: Sanctuary Wealth announced an integration with BNY Pershing’s Wove platform. Bob Walter, President of Sanctuary, and Ainslie Simmonds, Head of Global Strategy, BNY Pershing and President, BNY Pershing X, provided comments.

2025 regtech trends: In his Regtech Surge column, Sid Yenamandra, CEO and Founder of Surge Ventures, unpacks what’s in store for 2025 in regtech, including data and privacy issues, real-time monitoring, the regulation of AI, and blockchain applications for KYC and AML.

$6.4 billion acquisition: Homrich Berg Wealth Management agreed to acquire $6.4 billion WMS Partners. Thomas Carroll, Homrich Berg’s CEO and President; Martin Eby, Co-Founder and Senior Advisor of WMS; and Todd Wickwire, CEO of WMS, commented.

Chicagoland minority stake: Summit Financial acquired a minority non-controlling stake in Chicago-area RIA Midway Wealth Partners and added it to Summit’s advisor network. Richard Babjak, Co-Founder, Partner and Manager, Midway Wealth Partners and Stan Gregor, CEO of Summit Financial Holdings, commented.

Father-son team recruited: Perigon Wealth Management announced Robert Harrigan and his son, Evan Harrigan, joined its Boca Raton, Florida, office from UBS where they oversaw $170 million in total client assets. Robert Harrigan and Perigon’s CEO, Arthur Ambarik, commented.
