Mercer Advisors announced Tuesday that it acquired Full Sail Capital, an Oklahoma City-based RIA managing $2 billion in assets from clients who are primarily high net worth and multigenerational families.

Full Sail represents Mercer’s second acquisition in Oklahoma and expands its presence in Oklahoma and Texas to over $7 billion in client assets under management (AUM).

The transaction closed in late May and Full Sail will immediately adopt the Mercer brand, a Mercer spokesperson told WSR.

Mercer's first acquisition in Oklahoma was Bivin and Associates in June 2022.

Full Sail Capital is led by David Stanley, its Founder and CEO; Scott Cravens, Founder and COO; and Zac Reynolds, Founder and CIO.

“Full Sail aligns with Mercer Advisors’ fiduciary-first approach to wealth management,” Mercer said. It provides financial planning, wealth and asset integration, investment management, estate plan consulting and family office services.

Full Sail’s 14-member team will have access to Mercer’s infrastructure, technology platform, talent resources, custom portfolios, family office capabilities, estate and tax planning support and specialty planning resources.

“As we grew, we recognized joining a partner would support us in sustaining the high level of service our clients expect,” said Stanley. “Mercer Advisors shares our fiduciary-first mindset and brings the robust platform, scale and in-house expertise that will help us take our client experience to the next level.”

Founded in 2018, Full Sail serves more than 600 families in the Oklahoma City area. “Despite its rapid momentum, Full Sail was seeking a partner with a track record of strong organic growth and a client development team that enables advisors to devote their time and energy to serving their existing clients, instead of finding new ones.”

“We connected immediately with the Full Sail team on our shared commitment to a client-first and team-oriented culture,” said Dave Welling, CEO of Mercer.

“Dozens of firms, among the more than 100 partners that have joined us, have experienced accelerated growth in local markets,” according to Martine Lellis, Principal, M&A Partner Development at Mercer. “We see the same potential in Full Sail to extend their presence as a market leader in Oklahoma City.”

“Full Sail has built something special—an independent firm rooted in the South, delivering family office-level service with a personal touch,” said Daniel Gourvitch, President of Mercer.

“Partnering with Full Sail not only extends Mercer Advisors’ footprint in a key region, but it also provides this fast-growing team with the tools and scale they need to unlock advisors’ potential,” Gourvitch said. “Together, we’re better positioned to serve the evolving needs of affluent families across Oklahoma and beyond.”

Hue Capital Partners served as exclusive financial advisor to Full Sail, according to Mercer.

Mercer said it operates from over 100 locations. As of March 31, it managed $71 billion in client assets.

This acquisition comes shortly after Mercer announced that it surpassed 100 M&A partner deals with the acquisitions of RIAs Tufton Capital Management in Hunt Valley, Maryland, and Lewis Wealth Management in Denver, both finalized in April.
