Arkansas-based RIA Sowell Management announced the launch of its Advanced Planning Group (APG), a resource providing estate, tax and other advanced planning support to advisors serving affluent clients and business owners. The enhanced services will be available to advisors on both the Sowell Management and Cache River Private Wealth platforms.

“As clients accumulate wealth, their financial lives become increasingly complex, with needs that extend beyond traditional investment management,” said Bill Sowell, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Sowell Management. “The launch of our Advanced Planning Group reinforces Sowell’s ongoing focus on partnership, organic growth and delivering truly differentiating resources that help advisors navigate complexity with confidence.”

Carrie Quraishi, who will co-lead the new offering as Director of Advanced Planning, said, “High-Net-Worth clients are increasingly expecting a similar level of elite service that was once the exclusive domain of family offices. The addition of APG allows Sowell to offer the services these clients deserve, while expanding our ability to support them through significant life and wealth events, including business sales, liquidity events, succession planning, and multi-generational wealth transfer.”

Mitigating clients’ tax burdens is an important feature of APG. The tax overlay discipline will be overseen by JR Quraishi, Sowell’s Director of Tax Planning, who will also co-lead the offering and be responsible for identifying proactive tax planning opportunities and integrating tax strategies in all of APG’s services.

The launch of APG is part of the firm’s broader effort to expand planning resources available to advisors and affluent families and will play an important role within Sowell’s Cache River Private Wealth division, which was launched earlier in 2026 to serve households with over $5 million in net worth.
