San Francisco UHNW focus: IEQ Capital is acquiring fellow San Francisco Bay Area-based RIA EPIQ Capital Group, a multi-family office and investment firm with $5.3 billion in AUM. When the transaction completes, the combined firm will have $32 billion in AUM. IEQ Co-CEO and Founder Eric Harrison and EPIQ CEO Chad Boeding provide comments.

Cyber protocols: Seven experts released a white paper detailing cybersecurity protocols for wealth management firms: Mark P. Hurley, CEO of Digital Privacy & Protection (DPP); Brian Hamburger, President and CEO of MarketCounsel Consulting; Carmine Cicalese, President of Cyber CIC and Senior Partner at DPP; Daniel Bernstein, Chief Regulatory Counsel at MarketCounsel; Bryce Washum, Senior Partner at DPP; Douglas Garbutt, Partner-in-Charge of Implementation at DPP; and Katherine Winford, Shareholder and Director of Operations at DPP.

AI-enhanced compliance: RegVerse, a Surge Ventures company, launched its Fusion1 suite of AI-enabled tools, which will be part of its Avery platform. The product suite is designed to enhance reliability and accuracy of compliance and surveillance programs. Sid Yenamandra, Co-Founder, Surge Ventures, and CEO, RegVerse, provides comments.
