RIA TritonPoint Wealth on Thursday announced the launch of affiliate TritonPoint Partners, a firm based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, providing an independent ownership model for advisors.
TritonPoint Partners is “focused on building a culture of ownership supporting independent advisory teams,” according to TritonPoint Wealth, a former Goldman Sachs advisory team also based in Chevy Chase, with offices in San Diego and Scottsdale, Arizona.
TritonPoint Wealth launched in 2023 and now manages $1.8 billion in client assets, it says. It joined the Dynasty Financial Partners advisor network in January. TritonPoint Partners also leverages Dynasty’s platform, transition team and tech stack, according to the companies.
Harold Hughes is a founding Partner of TritonPoint Partners and was appointed its CEO.
TritonPoint Partners is “currently onboarding our first partner, to be identified in the near future,” Hughes told WSR on Thursday. “Very happy to have a partner coming on board this quickly!”

Looking ahead, he said that TritonPoint Partners “expects to increase AUM significantly through acquisitions. Our footprint will be national.”
Hughes was previously a Senior Vice President at PNC, from 2020 to 2023, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“Many firms focus too much on short-term cash flow and miss long-term equity opportunities,” according to Hughes. “Our model ensures every firm we partner with controls its revenue, benefits from strategic guidance, and participates fully in future growth,” he said.
TritonPoint Partners offers a “scalable, advisor-centric model designed to help firms maximize business value, optimize cash flow, and grow long-term equity while delivering clearly defined ownership and true independence,” according to a news release.
“We founded TritonPoint Partners to provide advisors with the best possible structure for long-term success,” said Andrew Schiff, CEO of TritonPoint Wealth.
“The new firm creates an opportunity for advisors to take control of their future, ensuring they are positioned to capture the full value of their income and equity while enjoying state-of-the-art support,” according to Schiff.
TritonPoint Partners “supports a multi-custodial, open-architecture investment platform and an experienced operations team,” with custodians including Fidelity, Raymond James and Schwab. Its platform can also “support specific client custodial arrangements on a case-by-case basis,” according to the news release.
Dynasty Investment Bank was exclusive financial advisor for the structuring and launch of TritonPoint Partners.
