Las Vegas-based hybrid RIA and wealth management platform The Wealth Consulting Group (WCG) announced that its assets under advisement have reached $12.1 billion. In the past 18 months, the firm said, it has onboarded $2.6 billion in recruited assets, which helped it post a 27% growth rate since last year.

The firm was founded in 1995 by CEO Jimmy Lee and launched its independent RIA platform in 2014. The firm said its model provides advisors with both independence and support, “access to a collaborative community and an opportunity to ‘focus on their genius.’”

“We are experiencing significant growth, primarily because our firm has risen to the occasion and is meeting the needs of today’s advisors,” said Matt Gilliam, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at WCG. “These are exciting times at The Wealth Consulting Group. We are having a lot of fun living our mission of Making Advisors’ Lives Better.”

The firm said its Partners Program helps advisors build enterprise value, provides capital and partial monetization, and lets advisors determine the terms and timing of succession.

“WCG’s continued growth validates our advisor-first model,” said Andy Kalbaugh, President of WCG. “Our value proposition and culture resonate with experienced advisors looking beyond payout for their final professional home, one that offers shared services, planning depth and long-term financial alignment without compromising their independence.”

The LPL Financial affiliates focuses on growth both via acquisitions and by recruitment of independent advisory businesses.
