YCharts announced that it launched AI Chat, an AI-powered tool “designed to enhance research workflows, improve efficiency, and drive better client engagement.” According to a company spokesperson, it launched on March 5 for all YCharts customers.
AI Chat provides financial professionals with quicker access to insights and workflows, according to YCharts, which said the new tool offers four main benefits: faster insights, interactive data and visualizations, customizable queries and an integrated workflow.
Users can type a prompt into the search bar or navigate to the AI Chat tool to get real-time responses that YCharts said are backed by indexed financial databases. Users can refine queries by selecting specific data sources, including not only YCharts data, but also SEC filings, financial news or proprietary research from enterprise partners, the firm said.
AI Chat builds on the firm’s previously available AI-based capabilities, including Quick Extract, which is designed to help professionals import client portfolios from spreadsheets, images and PDFs. By eliminating manual data entry, the firm aims to help advisors and analysts onboard client portfolios faster.
“Financial professionals need reliable, real-time insights to stay ahead in today’s fast-paced markets,” said Caleb Eplett, Chief Product Officer at YCharts.
“With many advisors transitioning to new investment research and analytics tools, having a platform that delivers instant insights and streamlines workflows is more important than ever,” according to Eplett. “AI Chat helps users quickly find the data they need, allowing them to focus on high-value analysis and client engagement.”
“Initial feedback has been exciting, with users highlighting how AI Chat helps them conduct more efficient research, quickly surface specific information, and even generate totally new ideas,” according to a company spokesperson. “An overwhelming majority of our customers expressed interest in AI-driven features, and AI Chat is a direct response to their evolving needs in a rapidly changing industry.”
