Much is said about private equity driving consolidation in the industry, but they are not the only players in the capital game. Some firms pursue acquisitions without external backing or with more conventional financing. We have also seen family offices, insurance carriers and sovereign wealth funds invest in wealth management businesses. As we continue our focus on M&A and capital strategies in this quarter, Corey Kupfer provides a window into sovereign wealth and insurance carrier investors.
I am also excited to announce that this week we are also opening nominations for our inaugural Top Financial Advisor Recruiters of the Year list, honoring the wealth management industry’s top five third-party financial advisor recruiters.
