Guide To Industry Conferences: Wealthtech
Published:

Examining the agenda and programs of the top wealthtech conferences this year and the common theme is obvious: artificial intelligence.

Advisors and broker-dealers have long moved past the question of whether AI will impact the industry. Rather, the question is how. Can the technology help drive real organic growth and lead generation? Or is AI best suited for more modest functions like client communications and note taking? Is AI the greatest productivity tool the industry has ever experienced? Or will AI replace human advisors?

Every year, WSR takes a closer look at the top industry conferences in our series of Guides to Industry Conferences. We distill key information including the location and dates, who is expected to attend, what will be covered at each conference, what attendees can look forward to and ticket prices. This first installment of the series for 2026 distills what you need to know about wealthtech conferences.

Orion Ascent

Nearly 2,000 people and 100 exhibitors and sponsors are expected to attend the Orion Ascent conference at the Mariott Marquis Feb. 24-27 in San Diego. This year’s theme is “Relentless,” and the event, which is attended by RIAs, dually registered firms, broker-dealers, advisors, asset managers and fintech providers, will provide opportunities for connections and community building, wealthtech demos and a growth focus.

The T3 Technology Conference’s theme this year is “From Noise to Knowledge: The FinTech Playbook for 2026 and Beyond,” representing the conference’s goal to help advisors find technologies that work for them among the plethora of available options. The conference will feature the debut of AI University, an all-day session devoted to practical, hands-on demonstrations and applications of AI technology to advisor practices, including real-world case studies and opportunities for attendees create AI-enabled tools and workflows to bring back to their offices.

Joel Bruckenstein, President, Technology Tools for Today

“AI is no longer optional for advisory firms – it’s foundational,” said Joel Bruckenstein, President of Technology Tools for Today, the organization that hosts the conference. “With AI University, T3 reframes artificial intelligence not as a shiny add-on, but as a core driver of modern advisory business models.”
