The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation presented awards to financial advisors for charitable leadership in their communities during its 20th annual Invest in Others Awards Gala at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport in Boston.
Financial advisors, nonprofit leaders, financial services professionals and supporters attended the gala, which marked the foundation’s 20th anniversary and recognized this year’s award recipients.
Over the past 20 years, Invest in Others said it has provided more than $10 million in grants to support more than 860 nonprofits and recognized more than 1,000 financial advisors for their charitable work.
The five 2026 award recipients and the charities they supported were:
The Catalyst Award winner was Ben French, a Financial Advisor at Cambridge Investment Research-affiliated CoreNorth Capital Planning in Wichita, Kansas, for his work with Shepherd’s Way.
The Community Service Award winner was John Thane, a Financial Advisor and President of Ameriprise Financial Services-affiliated Peak Financial Group in Southlake, Texas, for his work with Metroport Meals on Wheels.
The Emerging Impact Award was presented to David Shnitzer, Founder and Wealth Advisor at Lincoln Investment-affiliated CARE Private Wealth in Newton, Massachusetts, for his work with ONETrack International.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Michael Skrynecki, Vice President, Investments and Financial Advisor at Skrynecki Financial Planning Group of Raymond James in Atlanta, for his work with the Wiskott-Aldrich Foundation.
The Volunteer of the Year Award went to Amy B D Weinberger, an Advisor at Osaic-affiliated Green Earth Financial Professionals in Cape May, New Jersey, for her work with Soft Bones, The US Hypophosphatasia Foundation.
