San Francisco-based Feathery, provider of an AI operational and decisioning system for wealth management, announced that RFG Advisory implemented a Feathery workflow platform designed for RFG.
According to a news release from Feathery, RFG more than doubled form generation speeds for repapering in an advisor transition and increased the number of client accounts that can be prepared and sent on the first day of a transition. Feathery also reported improved data consistency, less missing fields and fewer manual errors.
“Transitions used to be one of the most manual and unpredictable parts of our business,” said Ross Thompson, Manager of Advisor Transitions at RFG Advisory. “With Feathery, we are able to prepare the workflow in advance instead of scrambling once the transition starts. Being able to send accounts out quickly has completely changed how we approach transitions.”
Feathery said advisor transitions are increasing due to recruiting activity and M&A. The transition process often includes moving hundreds of client accounts across multiple custodians while minimizing disruption for advisors and clients.
According to Feathery, RFG used manual spreadsheets and repetitive data entry across multiple systems for transitions prior to implementing Feathery’s platform. Feathery said it created a structured workflow for RFG that validates data, pre-fills required forms and generates ready-to-send DocuSign envelopes.
“Advisor transitions are a defining moment for both advisors and their clients,” said Chris Mills, Head of Wealth Solutions at Feathery. “RFG’s results show how firms can make those transitions faster and more predictable while preserving the high-touch experience advisors expect.”
Feathery’s platform is designed to automate advisor transitions, client onboarding and account opening while integrating with CRMs, custodians and other core wealth management systems.
RFG is an independent RIA with more than $8 billion in assets under advisement, supporting over 100 advisors.
